Account Operations

Our Account Operations representatives are customer focused and highly driven individuals whose expertise includes account and client servicing, and knowledge of workers' compensation insurance laws and regulations. The Account Operations representative is a liaison between our internal and external customers.

Claims Management and Managed Care

At AmCOMP, we focus on taking care of people. Our Claims personnel provide innovative tools to assist the employer in reporting claims timely, retaining the most qualified experts to assist in understanding the legislative boundaries to benefit delivery for injured workers and working with a sense of urgency to resolve injuries in a cost-effective, time-efficient manner. The Claims staff partners with internal experts in the areas of medical management, return to work and investigations to assist in maintaining quality medical care, streamlining the process of returning an injured employee to work and protecting our customers from financial impact as a result of false or fraudulent acts.

Our highly skilled Telephonic Nurse Case Managers work with Claims Adjusters to assist in the medical care of injured workers according to the managed care and legal guidelines. Nurses maintain open communication with the adjuster, injured worker, employer, physician and other healthcare providers while focusing on customer service.

Financial and Accounting

The Finance and Accounting departments provide timely, accurate, and cost-effective service, which results in outstanding customer and employee satisfaction. AmCOMP employs Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Premium Audit, Treasury, Financial Analysis and Financial Reporting personnel. Our Finance and Accounting staff has the analytical abilities needed to ensure optimal success.

Human Resources

The Human Resources department helps to identify creative, motivated and dedicated individuals to become part of the AmCOMP team. Our HR staff is responsible for demonstrating skills in employee relations, compensation, staffing, benefits, training and organizational development to support our growing organization.

Information Technologies

Our Information Technology department consists of Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, Programming and Technical Support. At AmCOMP, Information Technology is more than just a department; it's a provider of resources needed to develop cutting-edge systems and software critical to our success.

Loss Prevention

Loss Prevention promotes a safe work environment in order to prevent on-the-job injuries. Our Loss Prevention consultants possess risk management knowledge and a background in OSHA standards. They are committed to a "hands-on" approach, focused on educating and informing our policyholders with regard to good safety practices.

Marketing

The Marketing staff is responsible for promoting our products and services to thousands of independent insurance agents throughout the AmCOMP states.

Regulatory Reporting and Compliance

The Regulatory Reporting and Compliance staff interacts on behalf of the Company with NCCI, the Department of Insurance, and workers' compensation bureaus in the AmCOMP states. They are responsible for keeping the company up-to-date on regulatory/compliance issues, statistical reporting, licensing, policy forms, filings and requests for consumer assistance.

Underwriting

The Underwriting staff is responsible for determining which risks we will ultimately underwrite with our Agency Partners with a goal of underwriting profitability. Their responsibilities include an in-depth knowledge of workers' compensation, risk assessment and the geographical area in which they work. Team members possess insurance designation (ARM) or the equivalent.
