Workplace Environment

Inter-departmental and company-wide communication is encouraged. Our management team is highly accessible to our employees and our customers.

Professional Development: At AmCOMP, we foster an environment that encourages our employees to continue to learn and sharpen their skills throughout their careers.

Customer Service: Continuing to deliver excellent service and exceed our customers' expectations is one of our primary goals. It is an integral part of our Company's vision and mission, and we support our employees in their efforts to achieve this goal with regularly scheduled training and periodic seminars on the essentials of providing excellent customer service. Our customers notice the difference, and so will you.

Teamwork: AmCOMP promotes communication and a team-oriented, collaborative environment from top level management through the employee ranks. Individuals and departments work together to exceed customer expectations, always remembering that they are 'The Company.'

Performance Evaluation: At AmCOMP, we have established a review process that is structured to provide open, direct feedback on individual performance while emphasizing business and personal development. The number of performance evaluations an employee receives each year are determined by the employee and supervisor but are scheduled at least once every quarter. Performance Management is modeled after the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People (Stephen Covey, 1989).

Employee Appreciation: The Employee Appreciation Committee (EAC) hosts a variety of events for AmCOMP employees throughout the year. The events bring AmCOMP employees together and promote work/life balance. For example, the EAC has hosted holiday celebrations, costume contests, ice cream socials, pot luck lunches, trips to baseball games and Florida attractions as well as Employee Appreciation Week – a full week of fun activities and special events for employees.

At AmCOMP, we listen and respond to our customers, suppliers, agents and other strategic partners, community, injured workers and employees. We value the clear communication of expectations, which makes it easy to work with us. Paying attention to detail, doing things right the first time and responding to client needs are just a few of the ways that we strive to exceed our customers' expectations. We conduct our business with uncompromising integrity and professionalism and take pride in our work. Our goal is to achieve the highest standards of excellence in our industry.

Community Involvement

AmCOMP encourages its employees to take an active role in their communities. Each year, every AmCOMP employee receives a "Volunteer Day", one day of paid leave that the employee may use to volunteer for an organization that is meaningful to him or her. In addition, throughout the year, AmCOMP supports national and local non-profit organizations. We feel we can make a difference globally by acting locally, fulfilling our civic duties and positively contributing to our communities. Work / Life Balance

AmCOMP realizes that all of us have many tasks to accomplish in our daily lives and seeks to assist its employees by providing a number of additional conveniences. We hope to ease some of the time constraints many people feel through on-site access to a variety of services, including dry cleaning, car detailing and a holiday marketplace throughout the months of November and December where employees can shop during lunch and on break (as applicable by office). For employees with special time constraints, we have developed flexible schedules, job sharing and telecommuting within guidelines established by local management.
